Natural scent & botanical perfumes are the soul of Mar Galliti and with this new product category - botanical incense - I went back to the original way of perfuming & using aromatic materials.
The 'Be True' incense unites two different sandalwood: a gentle woody one from Australia and the classic sweet Mysore from India, together with resinous Cretan cistus, sweet vanilla-like benzoin, fruity blackcurrant and a local red wine near the Lake Balaton. The end result is grounding, but light, happy and meditative.
For me the memory of aromatic smoke goes back to my childhood when my father, who was a beekeeper, used black locust smoke around his bees. Since I can recognise the smoke of black locust anywhere. So I am especially happy to launch my first incense this summer (2026) when my father would have his 80th birthday.
I am only using real aromatic woods, resins, herbs, fruits and their natural extracts to create this clean form of home perfume. Every incense stick is handmade in the Mar Galliti Studio in Hungary.
