We have talked to Lilla Pápai, the designer of WYHOYS about essential oils and sustainability before this collaboration, so I was thrilled when she contacted me about the concept of jointly developing a perfume. She asked me to create a fragrance to the 2017 autumn/winter collection focusing on oil pollution. The perfume needed to reflect both on the theme and the brand. We worked on this intensely, smelling and trying to approach the not too light topic from several angles. The scent and the botanical perfume we ended up developing has somewhat heavier base notes, but otherwise light and spicy. One of our favourite customers said is like a fairy tale forest lake.
